Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

I liked the premise, and fully agree with the morale, but in regards to the story itself I found it had a bit too much introspection and not enough showing. The style contrasted greatly with the Martian Chronicles. Perhaps he wanted to expand a bit more so he could sell it as a novel; in the afterword he states the original version was only 25K words long, less than half the length of the published version.
