Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
A good way to get into the Halloween spirit! Boy did ol’ Frankenstein experience grief during the final stages of his life. I found some of the choices he made a bit unreasonable. But perhaps that could be explained by the mental stress and degradation.
Strange how our current culture depicts the monster as slow and dumb while in the book he is quick and cunning and highly intelligent. And also nowadays we call Frankenstein the monster instead of the creator. Regardless, now I can compare every adaptation against the original with confidence.
5/5 stars.
