Options Made Easy by Guy Cohen

Having no clue as to what options were, I decided to purchase this book to obtain a general understanding of options. This book was available for cheap on Amazon, and because of that I was not disappointed in the content. It gave a nice overview in simple terms and provided reasons why options exist and the basic strategies to trade them.

It did not go in depth in any one topic, so you will not gain any advantage in the markets by reading this book. It also has a couple chapters about technical and fundamental analysis which I thought did not belong in the book. Overall it was exactly what I was looking for and answered the basic questions I had about stock and future options.
